The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Chairperson, Dr. J. Prospero E. De Vera III, led a bicycle tour in Tuguegarao City, Cagayan on November 18, 2023 as part of his three-day visit in the University of Cagayan Valley (UCV).
CHED MIMAROPA Regional Director, Atty. Joselito C. Alisuag, and cyclists from UCV and CHED RO2 also participated in the bicycle tour.
The bicycle tour followed a 29 kilometer route which passed through the locations of the different Private Higher Education Institutions (PHEIs) in the city namely, the University of Saint Louis Tuguegarao (USLT), FL Vargas College Tuguegarao (FLVCT), John Wesley College (JWC), St. Paul University of the Philippines (SPUP), Maila Rosario College (MRC), University of Cagayan Valley (UCV), Medical Colleges of Northern Philippines (MCNP), and the International School of Asia and the Pacific (ISAP).
Welcomed by the respective administrations and students of FLVCT, MRC, USLT, SPUP, MCNP, and ISAP, Chairperson De Vera thanked the HEIs for their hospitality and acknowledged their role and contribution in the delivery of quality and accessible higher education as invaluable partners in the implementation of programs and services.
