The Commission on Higher Education Regional Office 2 (CHED RO2) together with the with the campuses of Isabela State University (ISU) held a series of Orientations and Ceremonial Distribution of Tulong Dunong Program – Tertiary Education Subsidy (TDP-TES) grants for new beneficiaries belonging to Batch 5.1 for the First Semester of the Academic Year from September 21 to September 30, 2024.

As a shared endeavor, the activity was graced by Atty. Marco Cicero F. Domingo, CHED RO2 Director-in-Charge, officials of ISU system and its campuses, specifically, the San Mariano, Cabagan, Ilagan, San Mateo, Roxas, Echague, and Jones Campuses, and Hon. Allan U. Ty, Representative of the LPGMA Partylist.

Through the event, the new set of student-grantees were informed about their roles and responsibilities as beneficiaries in accordance with the standing guidelines of the program. Distribution of TDP-TES financial grants for the First Semester of the Academic Year 2023-2024 ensued after the new student-grantees were oriented.

As one of the various programs covered under the RA 10931 or the “Universal Access to Quality Tertiary Education Act” (UAQTEA), the TDP-TES program affords financial assistance that support at least the partial cost of tertiary education and education-related expenses of Filipino students enrolled in State Universities and Colleges (SUCs), CHED-recognized Local Universities and Colleges (LUCs), and Private Higher Education Institutions (HEIs).
