The Commission on Higher Education Regional Office 2 (CHED RO2), represented by Director-in-Charge Atty. Marco Cicero F. Domingo, and the Unified Student Financial Assistance System for Tertiary Education (UniFAST), led by OIC-Executive Director Atty. Ryan L. Estevez, graced the Orientation and Ceremonial Distribution of Tulong-Dunong Program-Tertiary Education Subsidy (TDP-TES) grants for new student-grantees under the Batch 5.1 for the First Semester of the Academic Year 2023-2024 at Isabela State University – Palanan Campus, Palanan, Isabela on October 6, 2024.
Also present during the event is the Representative of the LPGMA Partylist, Hon. Allan U. Ty, the officials and staff of ISU Palanan Campus, led by Campus Coordinator Ms. Nanet T. Eugenio, and other dignitaries in the locality of Palanan.
During the event, the new group of student grantees was briefed on their roles and responsibilities as beneficiaries in line with the program’s current guidelines. Following the orientation, the financial grants under the TDP-TES for the First Semester of the Academic Year 2023-2024 were distributed.
As part of the programs included under RA 10931, also known as the “Universal Access to Quality Tertiary Education Act” (UAQTEA), the TDP-TES program provides financial assistance to help cover a portion of the tuition and education-related expenses for Filipino students attending State Universities and Colleges (SUCs), CHED-recognized Local Universities and Colleges (LUCs), and Private Higher Education Institutions (HEIs).
