The Commission on Higher Education Regional Office 2 (CHED RO2), in collaboration with the ACT-CIS Party List Representative, Hon. Jocelyn P. Tulfo, facilitated the payout of financial assistance under the Student Monetary Assistance for Recovery and Transition (SMART) on January 27, 2024 at the ACT-CIS Party List’s Satellite Office in the Province of Isabela.

CHED RO2’s team, composed by Mr. Joven B. Jacinto, Education Supervisor II and the designated SMART Focal Person in the region, Ms. Recy S. Guillermo, Administrative Officer III, and Ms. Roseby G. Langcay, Project Technical Staff II, together with the staff of Rep. Tulfo, successfully distributed the one-time financial assistance amounting to Twenty-Five Thousand Pesos (PhP25,000.00) to 60 qualified students who are pursuing their chosen undergraduate studies for the Academic Year 2023-2024.

Contributing to Filipino students’ journey towards academic and professional development, SMART grant serves as a part of the country’s National Employment Recovery Strategy in view of the effects inflicted by the recent global pandemic.
