With the commitment to ensure that policies and processes governing the implementation of Tertiary Education Subsidy (TES) and Tulong Dunong Program – Tertiary Education Subsidy (TDP-TES) are being enforced and observed, the Commission on Higher Education Regional Office 2 (CHED RO2), through the Unified Student Financial Assistance System for Tertiary Education Unit (UniFAST Unit), conducted on March 7, 2023 a meeting with Higher Education Institution (HEI) Focal Persons and Finance Officers via MS Teams.

Updates on the disbursal of TDP-TES funds for the Second Semester of the Academic Year 2021-2022, status of Liquidation Report submission for TES and TDP-TES for the Academic Year 2021-2022, and updates on the disbursal of funds for TES-3B for the Academic Years 2020-2021 and 2021-2022 are the agenda matters tackled during the meeting.

CHED RO2 OIC-Director IV, Atty. Marco Cicero F. Domingo, in his message delivered by Dr. Almacita P. Abrigo, Chief Education Program Specialist, emphasized that meetings are regularly conducted to keep participating HEIs abreast and provided with necessary information and guidance. “This endeavor is in pursuit of exemplifying transparency and participation among implementers to attain efficient and effective delivery of services to our stakeholders and to sustain an open, communicative and responsive community,” Atty. Domingo conveyed.

During the presentation of updates, Ms. Mariton Talosig, PTS I, Ms. Pauline Maye Somejo, PTS II, Ms. Analiza Tordillos, emphasized in their presentations that the on-time processing and disbursal of funds depend on the compliance or submission of documentary requirements by participating HEIs.

As part of the meeting’s purpose, various questions and concerns were threshed out and given due course.
